From the 14th to the 18th of September 2022, the first ever EU TalentOn will take place in Leiden.
During the EU TalentOn, young bright minds (aged between 21 and 35 years old) are put to the test. During this competition they'll be put into teams and challenged to think about 5 EU Missions.
The Missions
1. Adapting to climate change by 2030
2. Preventing of and dealing with cancer by 2030
3. Smart and climate-neutral cities within Europe by 2030
4. Restoring soil in Europe by 2030
5. Restoring oceans and water by 2030
The teams, made up of people from all over Europe, will all consider 1 of these missions. The list of participants was announced on 16 July 2022 and can be viewed here. The team that eventually comes up with the best solution will win the EU TalentOn.
The EU TalentOn participants will be in Leiden from 14 to 18 September 2022 and will follow a full programme under the guidance of Mission Navigator Henrik Scheel. The EU TalentOn headquarters, PLNT Leiden, will be available for the teams to work and devise solutions that truly shape the future.
This first EU TalentOn pilot is an initiative of the European Commission and was co-created with Leiden2022 European City of Science. It aims to bridge young talent, science and industry, especially in 2022: the European Year of Youth.
