How is the history of Leiden told? What information, signs, and statues are there to see? And what is withheld or left out? Which groups and people are not mentioned in the history of the city? But also, to what extent were residents of Leiden free and how did this change during the different historical periods? These questions are the reason for the design of the different routes and the assignments we will work on during the walk.

We will walk from the Pieterskerk to the Burcht. On our way, we look for different places, answer questions and do assignments. At the end, the group works together on a final assignment about freedom and inclusion in Leiden.

Date: 13 September
Starting location: Pieterskerk
Time: 10 AM (the walk will last until approximately 12.30 PM)
Language: Dutch only
