Did you know that the very first computer program was written by a woman? Learn how women set the tone, even in modern science.

Ada Lovelace described back in 1843 how in the future a computer (then still called an analytical machine) could be used to make music, create images and do science. Many people consider her the very first programmer ever, and she is still a figurehead of women in the STEM sciences. Every second Tuesday in October, this is celebrated on a special Ada Lovelace Day.

Come to the market at Bevrijdingsplein on the morning of 11 october to learn more about women in science!

This activity is Dutch and English speaking.
