Interested in science in the broadest sense of the word? Come to the Science Café Leiden!

Are you interested in science in the broadest sense of the word? Fancy learning more about controversial topics in science? While enjoying a drink and in a pleasant, informal atmosphere? The Science Café Leiden is for you!

In a Science Café, you can learn everything about a subject ranging from 'nuclear energy' to 'the new spelling'. After one or more scientists have explained their subject, there is time to ask questions and join in the discussion. There will be live music and a spoken column; always entertaining, informal and free of charge.

The questions of the pub quiz are, of course, all about something scientific. Some of the questions are based on the Science Café lectures of previous years.

You can participate in this quiz in teams of 4 to 8 people. The teams will be created on the evening itself. Of course, you can agree to form a team with a group beforehand. But you can also form a team with others on the spot or join an existing team.

Registration is open from 19:30 to 20:00, you do not have to sign up in advance. People who do not have a team yet will be added to a team. A maximum of 15 teams can participate. The quiz consists of a number of rounds. During the quiz, you may of course not use your smartphone.

Bas Kleijweg will act as quizmaster.
