Have you ever spotted bats? Join the bat excursion and find out how many different species fly in Leiden.

As dusk falls, you can see the bats skim over the water, past trees and other obstacles. They then go on an insect hunt. That is hard work, because they eat at least 500 insects a night! The bats are real aerial acrobats. Fast, agile and silent. Together with IVN guides, you can track bats with a bat detector.

Prior to the excursion, there is a presentation!
Both are for adults and children from 8 years of age.

Location: Kinderboerderij Merenwijk / Wijkpark Merenwijk Parkzicht 100, Leiden.

Time: The presentation starts at 19.30. The excursion is from 20.30 - 22.00.

Ticket: Free. Register via the website.

This activity will be Dutch spoken. More information (in Dutch) can be found here.
