Astronomer and cosmologist Willem de Sitter is the topic of today!

Today the Leidse Weer- en Sterrekundige Kring (LWSK) is organising a lecture on the astronomer Willem de Sitter. He designed the first model of the universe based on Albert Einstein's theory of relativity that was the standard until the 1990s. The model is presented by Dirk van Delft, emeritus professor of heritage and former director of Rijksmuseum Boerhaave.

The lecture is in Dutch for adults with an interest in astronomy. Tickets will be sold at the door for a small fee. There is room for 50 people, so be quick! You can register here.
