Are you familiar with nature in your neighborhood? Did you know that there is plenty to see even in winter, even when nature is at rest? Come discover it during this mini-expedition!

On Jungle topic day, Wijkcomité Vreewijk, together with Citizen Science Lab en Taxon Foundation, will organize an expedition along the Witte Singel. This expedition will introduce you to the neighborhood's wildlife and gardens. Despite the cold, there is plenty of hidden life to be found in the grass or under the leaves: for example, we expect all kinds of small insects and other animals.

During the expedition there will be a small inventory of biodiversity along the waterfront. Furthermore, participants can learn all about nature in their own neighborhood or garden. For example, one can complete the open tree map or learn more about the urban jungle using apps, such as waarneming.nl and obsidentify.

Not unimportantly, there will also be a social opportunity to catch up with hot chocolate. Children are welcome to join in!

This activity is in Dutch.
