Come to the Day of Journalism in Leiden. Learn all about Leiden's rich newspaper history during a journalism walk and end the day with drinks!

Over the past year, the history of journalism in Leiden has been researched and described by journalists, researchers and media students at Leiden University. The result: a special preservation newspaper: Gazet van Leiden, full of articles about Leiden's oldest media, some of which were world-famous but have since been forgotten. The stories are about the call chair, the famous printers, censorship, crime news, scoops, and about the people who now make the news in Leiden at a time when local journalism is far from self-evident.

The Gazette and some of these stories will be presented at the public day Nov. 3 at PLNT, including a debate with the chief editors of Leiden media, a journalism walk and pop-up exhibition in the UBL. See you there?
