Learn all about local and inexpensive food at Food Around the Corner. During this activity, you'll find out that food doesn't have to come from far away to taste delicious. A food market that will let you leave you with a filled tummy.

Food occasionally travels all over the world before it reaches your plate. That makes sense, because that food is waiting for us in the supermarket. Occasionally, however, we forget that there is all kinds of food around the corner, healthy and cheap. So visit and explore 'Food around the corner'!

'Food around the corner' is a food market where you learn to grow your own fruits and vegetables, reuse leftovers and buy local food. The activity is open to all ages. For example, children can bake sandwiches over fire, wildcraft and grow plants. The 'kamerkoor ConPassione' will also perform, and will end the day festively.

Food around the corner is an initiative of the Donut Coalition Leiden, i.c.w. many Leiden and regional partners, including Libertas, IVN, Stichting NaarBuiten, kamerkoor ConPassione, LeidenOogst, Bomenbond and Naturalis.
