THE FOURTEENTH EDITION OF MUSEUMNACHT LEIDEN

The Museum Night on Saturday 28 May is a perfect occasion to discover Leiden's unique museums including Rijksmuseum Boerhaave, Naturalis and CORPUS. There will be a special Leiden2022 LSH program.

Location: Museum Boerhaave
Time: 20:00 - 01:00

The Museum Night is all about the exhibition Herman Boerhaave & the Golden Age of Science. At a time when professors hardly dared to go visit the sick, Boerhaaves practical approach was a relief. Numerous activities are organized this Museum Night within the theme of medical science. Learn all about looking at piss, join beer yoga and make questionable cough syrup.

Location: Naturalis
Time: 20.00 - 01.00

Is it a meteorite or not? Is it a dinosaur or not? Are you also curious to find the answers to questions like this? Naturalis experts Hans Jorg Ahrends & Alice van Duijn, led by José de Wit, will shed light on the most special finds made by visitors. From the entrants we will draw someone who will win an exclusive look at the tower!

Location: CORPUS
Time: 20.00 - 01.00

Curious to learn about the miraculous functioning of your brain? But do you feel neuroscience is away too complicated? Nothing could be less true! The movies, music and art you enjoy every day are packed with interesting brain facts. Did you know, for example, that techno is a feast for the brain, because the repetition of sounds activates the reward system? And that the yellow glow in Van Gogh's 'Starry Night' is a side effect of psychiatric medication? In this interactive mini-pub quiz you will see the world through the eyes of a neuroscientist. The neuroscientist quizmasters of Stichting Brein in Beeld take you through the brain research at a glance, with questions related to experiences in daily life.
