To infinity and beyond! Buckle up and join us on a journey through space and time with the Mobile Planetarium in Huis van de Buurt Matilo.

On 28 August, the Mobile Planetarium will be ready for you in the Huis van de Buurt Matilo. Come along, take a seat in the planetarium and enjoy a journey through time and space.

Did you know that when you look at the stars, you are actually looking back in time? Because stars are so distant, it can take billions of years for their light to reach your eyes. This means that some of the stars we see today are actually long gone.

Astronomers use this to their advantage. By looking far enough away, they hope to peer so far back in time that they can work out what the Big Bang was all about. Where did everything come from? And what traces did the Big Bang leave in our universe?

On 28 August, neighbourhood associations Roomburg and Meerburg will ensure that the NOVA Mobile Planetarium is set up in the Huis van de Buurt Matilo. In this dome students will show you exactly what the universe looks like and travel to the past to get as close as possible to the Big Bang. All the shows are live and interactive! Which planet or star would you like to travel to?

There will be 7 shows, each 30 minutes, between 11:00 am and 17:00 pm. 25 people can attend each show. You can just walk in, but making a reservation via the reservation form ensures you of a place. Come along for the trip of a lifetime!
