Come and have a look! We will show you how we as humans make choices and why we feel, think and do certain things.

On Friday afternoon 16 September 2022, the Knowledge Centre for Psychology and Economic Behaviour and Leiden University will organise the small-scale Wijsneus Festival in Park de Leidse Hout.

The following questions will be addressed through experiments and short talks: Can we properly assess whether a suspect on camera is guilty or innocent? How useful is it to punish people when they are not doing their job properly? Have you ever seen your heartbeat on a cardiogram? And how do we deal with our waste in nature?

Programme

  • Test yourself in various experiments. So you can make your own heart film!
  • Listen to short talks by behavioural scientists Welmer, Henk and Anouk of Leiden University.
  • Be surprised by Rich Magic the illusionist.
  • Enjoy live music from the band Moon About and tasty snacks and drinks from the Theehuis.

It will be a day full of surprising insights for young and old, great music, snacks and drinks. A fun activity for everyone!
