Would you like your company or organisation to contribute to strengthen the link between science and society? Find out how you can become a partner or sponsor.

As the first European city, Leiden European City of Science 2022 presents a 365-day science festival for everyone with a curious mind. For a whole year, an interactive programme full of activities, lectures, workshops, excursions, exhibitions and events will be offered, with the aim of connecting science and society.

This year was initiated by the municipality of Leiden, Leiden University, LUMC and the Hogeschool. The title is published by EuroScience in Strasbourg and the project takes place thanks to financial support from the European Commission. Among the scientific highlights of the year are the EuroScience Open Forum (ESOF) in July and the Bright Young Minds Week in September. Leiden2022 has been included by the European Commission as a pilot project in the ERA Policy Agenda: 'Action 14: Bring Science closer to Citizens'. 

Do you want to strengthen the link science and society? There are many opportunities to become a partner of this year. You can do so in many ways, but especially by participating in and being visible at our flagship events. Read more information below. 

Partner of a day

There is so much to experience and discover in Leiden and the surrounding area. Throughout the year, we hope to make people curious about the wonderful world of science, knowledge, art and craftsmanship. There is plenty of choice: 365 days a different subject, something for everyone. 

Each subject has a unique page where the activities of the day can be found. As a partner, you can be on this page with your logo and link by sponsoring one or more specific days.

Focus; Living Lab; Fantasy; Food; Money; Micro; Science; Game Changer; Antibiotics; Dreaming; Colour; Listen!; Mars; Care; Moonwalk; International; Hypothesis; Future... Which day suits you best?

By sponsoring a day, you will be contributing to the development of the activities of Leiden European City of Science and together we will ensure the connection between science and society. We ask a contribution of € 1.000,- for sponsoring a day.
