europa
On January 8, 1610, Galileo Galilei discovered Europa after observing the moon through his telescope. Today we're talking about Jupiter's fascinating glow-in-the-dark moon, Europa, one of the largest moons in our solar system. Europa has remained in the spotlight in recent years with discovery after discovery making the news: water vapour, geysers, and even an ocean that contains more water than all the oceans on Earth combined. And there's still more to learn. That's why at the European Space Agency ESTEC in Noordwijk, we are working hard on the Jupiter Icy Moons Explorer (JUICE). The explorer will be launched towards Europa in May. Will you be watching?
