haiku
The weather’s warmer - It’s the twenty-first of March - so spring or summer? This is a Haiku, originally a short Japanese non-rhyming poem. Poetry is all over the world today. ‘a b a b’ or ‘a b b a’, the quatrains and classical iambs fly around our ears. According to the Guinness Book of Records, Dutch poet Joost van den Vondel wrote the shortest poem in the world, winning a poetry competition in 1620. The poem is also a palindrome and goes like this: "U, Nu!" (You, now!) Who are we to disagree?
