CHEESE
Whether you think of cheese in France, Italy, or our own cold little country, one thing is certain: Europe is the land of cheese. Cheese is beloved in many cultures. It’s eaten for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and dessert. So it's no wonder that the average Dutch person eats 17 kilograms of cheese every year. If you think that’s impressive, the Danes and French eat a whopping 28 and 26 kilograms! Let’s not forget the Asian paneer and yak cheeses. However, with more and more people calling on farmers to produce vegetarian or even vegan cheeses, will cheese culture continue to exist in the future?
