This word probably makes you think of Michael Jackson, but the move has been around since the 1930s. It is an illusion in which the dancer appears to walk forward, but actually moves backwards. Until after the actual moon landing, the move was known by other names. However, no human has been on the moon since the 1970s. So when Jackson popularised the dance move in the 1980s, he only had old footage to watch real moonwalkers. With the recent Artemis programme, there may be someone on the moon again for the first time in more than 50 years!
