METAMORPHIC
A metamorphic rock is a rock that underwent metamorphosis. Does that mean nature gives rocks make-overs? Well, kind of. We’re talking about a chemical reaction that sometimes happens in some rocks. Minerals grow under the influence of high temperatures and high pressure. When this happens, rocks can get impressive colours and patterns. So, in that way, the rock does get prettier after it's been metamorphosed.
