SHORT OF BREATH
Being afraid and being unable to breathe are 2 different things, but they can feel the same. When you’re very anxious it can definitely feel like you can’t breathe. Your chest feels tight or breaths only come in short bursts. Luckily, that type of shortness of breath is usually temporary. However, there are also many people who struggle with chronic breathing problems. That tight feeling, too much mucus, choking on your food or spit, hyperventilation, feeling very stuffy; all of these can be chronic.
