On the birthday of famous cellist Pablo Casals, today we celebrate International Cello Day. You probably know a bit about what a cello looks like. As a reminder, the cello is smaller than a double bass and larger than a violin. In any case, it is a string instrument that cannot be omitted in many orchestras. The King, the oldest cello on earth, dates from the 16th century and was built by Andrea Amati. Amati also built the oldest violin on earth. So although the instruments differ, their backgrounds are quite similar.
