Cogito, Ergo Sum. I think, therefore I am. No, it's not just a catchy lyric by Billie Eilish, it's also a quote by Descartes. How do you know you exist? How do you know the world around you is real? According to Descartes, the fact that you can think about it says enough. Yes, your senses can deceive you, and you can doubt everything — but according to Descartes, the fact that you doubt implies that you exist. You exist, which means that you think. I think, therefore I am. Cogito, Ergo Sum.
