MONUMENT
Sometimes you want to keep something with you to remember something. But when is something a monument rather than a regular keepsake? A monument exists purely to remember someone or something by. To keep a memory alive. That memory can basically be anything: an event, a person, or even an animal. Of course, nature monuments also exist. Nature deserves to be remembered as well after all. Technically speaking, the post-it hanging on your refrigerator door might also be considered a monument. It’s there to remember something, isn’t it? Remembering sometimes isn’t as easy as it seems.
