TATTOO
Tribal, sleeve, hand poke, fine line, dotwork, a tattoo lover will know about these styles and pick whatever suits them. A meaningful artwork or something you simply like: a tattoo is often a way of honouring someone or something, a way of showing off your personality, or simply a decoration. In 1769 James Cook arrived at Tahiti, where he saw people with drawings on their skin for the first time. The locals called these drawings ‘tatu’, and the word has become a part of our vocabulary ever since. However, tattoos didn’t originate in the 1700s. There’s evidence that people in prehistoric civilizations already had them. One of those people is Ötzi the Ice Mummy, who has over 60 tattoos on his body.
